We have over 32 years' experience in the waste management industry operating a professional and reliable one stop ‘skip hire’ shop to both the domestic and commercial markets.

We care about what’s in your skip, we want to make sure that you know what you can and can’t put in your skip, and above all, we aim to recycle as much of what comes out of your skip as possible. By investing in the latest recycling technology we are committed to offering a skip hire service that helps to raise national standards in waste management and removal, with a guarantee to recycle more of the waste than any other comparable skip provider in the region.

Areas we serve

Skip-It are based at the City Recycling centre in Portslade, East Sussex, close to the city of Brighton & Hove and within easy reach of major transport routes throughout Sussex. We are able to deliver skip hire and waste removal across a wide region ranging from Worthing in West Sussex through to Brighton & Hove, and up to Horsham in the north of the region. Our commercial skip services are available to larger construction projects across the whole region.

Rubbish recycling

We follow three basic steps for achieving responsible rubbish recycling:

1. Size it
We work with you to assess the correct size of skip for your needs.  It’s important that you follow our guidelines as to what you can and can’t put in your skip.  Skips are for:

• general garden waste
• general household waste
• general building waste
• scrap metal

and not for asbestos, fridges, tyres, batteries, televisions, computers and hazardous/toxic materials.

2. Skip it
Once you’ve disposed of your waste and filled your skip we collect it and take it to our licensed waste management recycling facility.

3. Sort it
Here, using the latest rubbish recycling techniques and technology, we sift, process and sort as much of your waste as possible to achieve maximum recycling and minimum landfill waste.
